Vardu Through to ESM Assembly Final

Hearthstone player, Alvar ‘Vardu‘ Dürr currently playing for TDG, has booked his place in the ESM Hearthstone Finnish Championships grand final where he will face Teemu ‘Kallootulloo’ Jääskeläinen in hopes of becoming the Finnish Hearthstone Champion.

Vardu had to take down some close rivals in order to secure his spot at Assembly. In his first match of the day he went up against ROARR where he managed to take the win 3-1. His next match seen him take on ENCE’s Hearthstone player, Creapz in what was again a comfortable read for him as he took the game 3-1. Now through to the winner bracket semi finals, Janetzky stood in his way to try and secure a spot in the finals of the qualifier however Vardu took him down with a clean 3-0 sweep and advanced to the final of the qualifier.

Once the lower bracket had played out, Vardu found himself again taking on Janetzky for the final spot in the Assembly offline finals. This time, it wasn’t such an easy sweep with Janetzky managing to take 2 games off the young man from Helsinki. However Vardu managed to pull through and take the match with a triumphant 3-2 scoreline, booking his place in the ESM Hearthstone Grand Final at Assembly Summer 2017.

Best of luck to Vardu & Kallootulloo next month.
