Finland to star in Rocket League World Cup

The long-anticipated Rocket League World Cup will be hosted by BadPanda this summer in what should be a thrilling contest. Rocket League certainly had it’s doubters on release from outsiders when the community thought the game could be a worldwide eSport. The event will be broadcast much like the previous League of Rockets‘ tournament The Twelve Titans of which you can watch here and will be edited for the full cinematic effect with tension and a story that you would expect from a Hollywood-like movie.

Team Finland consists of:

– Joni “JHZER” Humaloja (Highly-Skilled Rocket League YouTuber)
– Joonas “MOGNUS” Salo (Professional Rocket League player for Method)
– Otto “METSANAURIS” Kaipiainen (Professional Rocket League player for Method)

League of Rockets have released a trailer for the 2017 World Cup that consists of 16 teams from around the world who have the drive to be named World Champions, a bonus of $5000 will be a welcome addition to the title also.

The Tournament will have the same format as the FIFA World Cup; a group stage, with groups of four followed by single elimination Finals. Dates are yet to be announced. 

The event will be streamed on Twitch here and then available soon after on BadPanda
