Yesterday kicked off the second lot of the ECS Online Open Qualifiers which seen HAVU Gaming attempting to win qualification for the ECS Development League.
Online qualifiers like these are always grueling affairs for the teams trying to qualify for the slots. Usually there are over 400 teams in each qualifier so playtime can last up to 10 hours in some cases.
Finland’s #1 CS:GO team right now, HAVU Gaming have secured themselves a quarter final slot in the qualifier, meaning that they have the opportunity to qualify if they win their next two match ups.
HAVU came up against highly rated Finnish rivals, VITALIS in RO16. The match turned out to be a fairly straight forward affairs for the boys in green and navy as they managed to win the first half 14-1 and the game 16-8. HAVU now go on to face Lithuanian side, CHAOS in which they will be heavy favorites to win. Should they win that game, they will most likely go on to face Team LDLC in the semi finals where winner will take the qualification spot. This will be a tough encounter as the last time these two sides met in a best of 1 LDLC managed to take the win.
When we spoke briefly to xartE during the week he told us that HAVU ‘still feel confident and ready to play!’
A lot on the line for HAVU Gaming but they will be full of confidence having won the ROG EMEA Region Qualifier last week.
Best of luck for HAVU in qualification play offs!
