ASUS ROG Announce Finnish Overwatch Tournament

ASUS ROG have announced their return into GameXpo on twitter:

This time ASUS ROG return to Finnish Overwatch with a format of two stages.
The regular season will be played online and all of the teams will face each other once whilst playing two matches every week. Set tournament days for regular season are Tuesday and Sunday with the tournament kicking off on September 19th.

The weekly matches will be casted by Tomi “Tombha” Rinne and Juha-Pekka ”ZeiZei” Joutsenlahti. The top 4 teams from the regular season will advance into playoffs, played on the main stage of GameXpo on November 3rd to 5th 2017.

Helsinki REDS
Gigantti
Nemesis
Nyyrikki
Aces
Kindergarten

The Helsinki REDS Project Manager Jussi Patjas has this to say:

“There are numerous Overwatch teams in Finland and the scene is growing all the time. International tournaments for European scene are on the way, but we also feel that providing local activities is the requirement for organic growth.”

Petri Hämälä Founder of Peliliiga and CEO of ENCE eSports mentioned:

“The key point of this league is building great experiences for teams, players, and the viewers. We are creating something new with the ideas from regular sports side that Helsinki REDS brings with, combined with over 10 years of eSports experience, it forms an unseen before package.”
